How admins create a Volie Team and add members

Create a Team of Volie users (account-level or organization-level) and add members. This is not Microsoft Teams Alerts.

Before you start

To set up Teams in Admin, you need:

  • An Admin role (Manager, Owner, or Super Admin)

  • The users who should be members (account users for an account team, organization users otherwise)

Steps

Follow these steps to set up Teams in Admin:

  1. Go to Admin → Teams.

  2. Select the plus icon to open New Team.

  3. Check Account Team? if this team should contain only account users. If it is unchecked, select Organization *.

  4. Optionally check Receives Ticket Alert?.

  5. Enter Team Name *, then select Create Team.

  6. On Edit Team, under Team Members, select Add User. Choose people or Add all available users, then close the dialog.

What success looks like

When Team setup is complete, Admin → Teams shows Team Name and Total Users, and Team Members lists each person’s Name, Email, and Default Role. If members are missing, you will see Unable to find any team users. Please add a user to this team.

Limitations

Teams has these verified limits:

  • Account Team? cannot be changed after you create the team.

  • Team Members is available on Edit Team, not on New Team (create first, then add users).

Common questions

Is Admin → Teams the same as Microsoft Teams Alerts?

Admin → Teams is a list of Volie user teams (account or organization). Microsoft Teams Alerts is a separate Admin page for sending Pulse alerts to Microsoft Teams.

Who can be on an Account Team?

An Account Team can only include account users. If Account Team? is unchecked, the team can only include users from the selected Organization.
