How to send Pulse alerts to Microsoft Teams
Attach Send Ready Microsoft Teams destinations to a Pulse alert rule so matching Pulse assessments notify a Teams channel or user.
Before you start
Before you send Pulse alerts to Microsoft Teams:
Microsoft Teams Alerts setup is complete for the dealer organization (connection enabled and at least one Send Ready destination)
An allowed role to edit Pulse alerts and select Teams destinations
A Pulse alert rule ready to create or edit
Steps
Follow these steps to send Pulse alerts to Microsoft Teams:
Go to Pulse → My Alerts (Pulse Alerts), or Admin → Pulse → Pulse Alerts.
Select Add New Alert, or open an existing Pulse alert to edit.
Name the alert and set filters as needed for the calls you want to watch.
In Teams Notifications, select one or more Send Ready destinations. Destinations appear as Channel: … or User: ….
Note the helper text: Teams Notifications “Sends Teams notifications for this Pulse alert rule only.”
If a destination is already used by other Pulse alerts, Volie shows a warning — you can still select it.
Save the Pulse alert.
Tips
When you use Microsoft Teams Alerts with Pulse, these tips help:
On the Pulse alert form, do not confuse the filter titled Teams (Volie agent teams) with Teams Notifications (Microsoft Teams destinations).
Pulse Teams Notifications content is generated by Volie. You do not edit a Teams message template in Volie for this flow; only the Test Message text on Teams Alert Provider is editable for tests.
To see which Pulse alerts use a destination, open Admin → Microsoft Teams Alerts → Saved Teams Destinations, then use the alert count / Linked Pulse Alerts.
What success looks like
When a Pulse alert is linked to Microsoft Teams destinations, the saved rule shows those destinations under Teams Notifications, and a matching Pulse assessment delivers a Volie alert card in the Teams channel or user chat (with actions such as View Pulse Assessment and/or View Call). If nothing arrives in Teams, confirm the destination is still Send Ready, that it is selected on the Pulse alert, and that a matching Pulse assessment has occurred.
Limitations
Sending Pulse alerts to Microsoft Teams has these verified limits:
Only Send Ready destinations can be used for delivery.
Teams Notifications on a Pulse alert rule apply to that Pulse alert only.
Campaign Hot Alerts do not expose Teams destination selection — use Pulse alerts for Microsoft Teams delivery.
Customers do not edit the live Teams alert card layout as a template in Volie for Pulse Teams Notifications.
Common questions
Will Campaign Hot Alerts go to Microsoft Teams?
Campaign Hot Alerts do not include a Teams Notifications picker. Use Teams Notifications on Pulse alert rules to send Pulse alerts to Microsoft Teams.
Why don’t I see Teams destinations on my Pulse alert?
You usually do not see Teams destinations when Microsoft Teams Alerts is not enabled, no Send Ready destinations exist for the organization, or your role cannot manage Teams destination selection. Complete setup on Teams Alert Provider, then reopen the Pulse alert.
Do I edit the Teams message template in Volie?
For Pulse Teams Notifications, you do not edit a Teams message template in Volie. Volie generates the alert card content. Test messages use the text you enter on the Test Message card in Teams Alert Provider.
Can one Teams destination be used by more than one Pulse alert?
Yes. One Microsoft Teams destination can be selected on more than one Pulse alert. If it is already used elsewhere, Volie warns you, and you can still select it.
