Configure Pro-Max Click to Call so dealership agents can start outbound calls from ProMax while Volie places the call, applies caller ID, and records the conversation behind the scenes.
Before you start
To set up Pro-Max Click to Call, you need:
An Admin role in Volie (setup is often completed with Volie Customer Success)
A Volie subscription that will use ProMax as the click-to-call CRM provider
Each store’s ProMax source ID (this must match the Volie Partner code)
Agent phone numbers for Redirect to, plus the outbound line Volie should use
ProMax configured to send click-to-call requests to Volie (Volie Support or Customer Success coordinates the shared access token)
Definitions
These terms appear when you set up Pro-Max Click to Call:
Term | Meaning |
CRM Subscription | The Volie account-level record that enables ProMax as the click-to-call provider |
CRM Organization | The Volie store-level record with Partner code, Redirect to, and Incoming Phone Number |
Partner code | The store identifier Volie uses to match a ProMax click-to-call request; for ProMax it must match the source ID ProMax sends |
Redirect to | The agent phone number Volie rings first when a click-to-call starts |
Incoming Phone Number | The outbound line Volie uses as the default caller ID when connecting the customer |
Steps
Follow these steps to set up Pro-Max Click to Call:
Go to Admin → Utilities → Subscriptions, then open the parent subscription for the dealership.
Select Enable CRM, set Provider to ProMax, add any Allowed domains your team requires, then select Enable.
Open the CRM Subscription (from the subscription page via View CRM Subscription, or go to Admin → Utilities → CRM Subscriptions and select the subscription).
On the Organizations tab, create a CRM Organization for each store: choose the Organization, set Partner code to the ProMax source ID for that store, and complete the phone fields Volie prompts for (including Phone number starts with when provisioning a new line).
Open the CRM Organization and confirm Partner code, Incoming Phone Number, and Redirect to. For Pro-Max Click to Call, use store-level routing: turn Per-employee routing off if it is on, then set Redirect to to the agent phone Volie should ring first.
Confirm with Volie Customer Success or Support that ProMax has the shared access token and endpoint needed to send click-to-call requests, and that each store’s source ID matches the Volie Partner code.
If customers should see a specific dealership number, register that number under Admin → Outgoing Caller IDs before ProMax sends it as a caller ID override.
Place a test click-to-call from ProMax for each store before go-live.
What success looks like
When Pro-Max Click to Call setup is complete, an agent can start a call from ProMax, Volie rings the Redirect to number first, then connects the customer on the store’s outbound line. Managers can review the completed call in Volie’s Communication Center. If the agent’s phone never rings, confirm Provider is ProMax, Partner code matches the ProMax source ID, and Redirect to is correct.
Limitations
Pro-Max Click to Call has these verified limits:
Outbound click-to-call from ProMax is supported; inbound Volie calls are not logged into ProMax in this release.
Outbound call results can write back to ProMax when Volie and ProMax are configured together (duration, outcome, and recording link when available). Lead push from Volie into ProMax after dispositions is not available in this release.
Routing is store-level for ProMax (matched by Partner code / source ID), not per-agent routing from what ProMax sends.
Caller ID override works only when the number is already registered under Admin → Outgoing Caller IDs; otherwise Volie uses the default Incoming Phone Number and the call still connects.
Call recording is on by default unless ProMax turns recording off for that request.
Agents cannot self-enable the integration; an Admin (typically with Volie Customer Success) must complete Volie and ProMax setup.
Common questions
Who can set up Pro-Max Click to Call?
Admins set up Pro-Max Click to Call in Volie, usually with Volie Customer Success or Support. Agents who only work in ProMax do not enable the integration themselves.
Why must Partner code match the ProMax source ID?
Volie uses Partner code on the CRM Organization to match the click-to-call request to the correct store. If the ProMax source ID and Volie Partner code do not match, Volie cannot route the call to that store’s phone setup.
Can each agent have their own outbound line in Pro-Max Click to Call?
Pro-Max Click to Call uses store-level routing. Volie matches the request to the store’s CRM Organization by Partner code, not to individual agents based on what ProMax sends for per-agent lines.
Can we choose which number the customer sees?
Yes. When ProMax sends a caller ID override and that number is registered under Admin → Outgoing Caller IDs, Volie uses it. If the number is not registered, Volie uses the default Incoming Phone Number and the call still connects.
Do agents need to open Volie during a click-to-call?
No. Agents start and complete the call in ProMax. Volie places the call behind the scenes. Managers and Admins use Volie for setup and for reviewing recordings in Communication Center.
