How to add an organization logo to email templates
Use the Organization Logo URL merge tag on an email template image so each send shows that organization's uploaded logo—without pasting a separate image for every location.
Before you start
Before you add an organization logo to an email template in Volie:
An Admin has uploaded a logo on Admin → Organizations → Edit → General → Organization Logo (see the setup article if needed)
You can edit the email template (account-level Admin → Email Templates, or a campaign's email template editor)
You know which image in the template should display the logo (header, footer, or similar)

Steps
Follow these steps to add an organization logo to an email template in Volie:
Open the email template you want to brand (Admin → Email Templates, or the campaign email template editor).
Select the image that should show the organization logo, then select Edit Image.
Open Merge Tags in the template sidebar if you need the exact tag. Under Internal Fields, find resource Organization, name Organization Logo URL, syntax
[[organization_logo_url]]. Copy the syntax from the dictionary if helpful.In Image Asset URL, enter
[[organization_logo_url]]instead of a fixed image link.Select Apply Changes to save the image settings.
Send a sample email for an organization that has a logo uploaded, and confirm the logo appears in the message.
In the template editor, an image that uses a merge tag as its source may show as a blank placeholder box until the email is sent or previewed with real organization data—that is expected.

When you use the Organization Logo URL merge tag in email templates:
One shared template with
[[organization_logo_url]]works for multi-location accounts—each organization uses its own logo from General settings.After you replace or remove a logo in organization settings, send a new sample to confirm how the next email will look.
What success looks like
When you finish adding the organization logo merge tag, a sample or live email for an organization with an uploaded logo shows that logo in the image slot. If the logo is missing in the sent email, confirm a logo is uploaded on that organization's General tab and that Image Asset URL contains [[organization_logo_url]] exactly.
Limitations
Organization logo merge tags in email templates have these verified limits:
The merge tag supplies the logo image address for email template images—it is not supported for SMS or other channels in this workflow.
If no logo is uploaded for the sending organization,
[[organization_logo_url]]resolves empty and the image slot has nothing to display.Volie uses the logo currently stored for the organization on new sends; already-delivered emails are not updated when you change the logo.
Common questions
Why does the logo look like a blank box in the email template editor?
When an email image uses a merge tag in Image Asset URL, the Volie editor shows a blank placeholder until the email is sent or filled in with that organization's data. The logo still appears in the sent email when a logo is uploaded for that organization.
Where do I find the Organization Logo URL merge tag?
In the email template editor, open Merge Tags (Dictionary of Allowed Merge Tags). On the Internal Fields tab, find resource Organization, name Organization Logo URL, syntax [[organization_logo_url]].
What if we send an email and no logo was uploaded for that organization?
The Organization Logo URL merge tag resolves to empty for that organization, so the image slot has nothing to show. Upload a logo on Admin → Organizations → Edit → General, then send a new sample to confirm.
Can I use the organization logo merge tag on campaign email templates?
Yes. Campaign email templates use the same Edit Image and Image Asset URL pattern as account-level email templates—enter [[organization_logo_url]] on the logo image.
