How to set up Advanced Dispositions
Set up Advanced Dispositions so a campaign can use named Disposition Groups instead of one flat disposition list, and agents can pick a group before a disposition.
Before you start
To set up Advanced Dispositions, you need:
An Admin role
Advanced Dispositions enabled for your account (if you do not see Disposition Mode or Admin → Disposition Groups, contact your Volie Customer Success Manager)
A plan for which dispositions belong in each Disposition Group (the first time you apply a group to a Default campaign, existing campaign dispositions are overridden)
Definitions
These terms appear when you set up Advanced Dispositions:
Term | Meaning |
Disposition | The outcome an agent selects after a call, text, or other communication. |
Disposition Group | A named set of dispositions you create under Admin. You can apply the same group to one or more campaigns. |
Disposition Mode | A campaign setting with two options: Default (one flat disposition list) or Advanced (one or more Disposition Groups). |
Priority | The order of Disposition Groups on a campaign. Priority 1 is shown first and is auto-selected for agents. |
Steps
Follow these steps to set up Advanced Dispositions:
Go to Admin → Disposition Groups.

Select the plus icon next to Search to create a new Disposition Group.
Enter a Name and select Save.
Select the orange edit button next to the group name.
Select the plus icon to add dispositions. Search or browse available dispositions, then use the green plus control to add each one to the group. Create as many Disposition Groups as you need.

Go to Admin → Campaigns.
Select the orange edit icon for the campaign you want to configure.
Open the Dispositions tab.
At the top, set Disposition Mode to Advanced, or keep Default and apply a Disposition Group (the campaign switches to Advanced automatically when you apply the first group).
Select Add Disposition Group (first time / still in Default) or Apply Disposition Group (already in Advanced).
Choose a Disposition Group and select Apply. If the campaign is still in Default, read the warning that this sets disposition mode to advanced and overrides existing dispositions, then continue only when you are ready.

Repeat Apply Disposition Group to add additional groups. After groups are applied, the Dispositions tab shows Disposition Groups with priority numbers. Expand a group to view its dispositions. Drag groups to change priority order so priority 1 is the group agents should land on first.

What success looks like
When Advanced Dispositions setup is complete, the campaign Dispositions tab shows one or more Disposition Groups with priority numbers instead of a single flat list, and Disposition Mode is Advanced. If you don’t see Disposition Mode or Disposition Groups, confirm Advanced Dispositions is enabled for your account and that you are editing the campaign as an Admin.
Limitations
Advanced Dispositions has these verified limits:
Advanced Dispositions is availability-gated — accounts without it enabled continue to see Default disposition behavior only. Contact your Volie Customer Success Manager if the controls are missing.
Moving from Default to Advanced by applying a Disposition Group overrides existing campaign dispositions — plan your groups before that change.
On Advanced campaigns, dispositions are managed through Disposition Groups (not as a free-form single list on the campaign).
If an Advanced campaign has no Disposition Groups configured, agents cannot complete a normal disposition flow for that campaign until groups are applied.
Common questions
Who can set up Advanced Dispositions?
Admins can set up Advanced Dispositions from Admin → Disposition Groups and Admin → Campaigns when Advanced Dispositions is enabled for the account.
Will switching to Advanced remove my current campaign dispositions?
Switching to Advanced by applying a Disposition Group while the campaign is still in Default overrides existing campaign dispositions. Volie shows a warning before that change. Plan your Disposition Groups before you apply the first group.
What is the difference between Default and Advanced?
Default keeps one flat disposition list on the campaign. Advanced lets you attach multiple Disposition Groups and requires agents to choose a group before a disposition.
Why don’t I see Disposition Mode on a campaign?
You usually do not see Disposition Mode because Advanced Dispositions is not enabled for your account. Contact your Volie Customer Success Manager if the control is missing.
