Designating Campaigns as Parents and Children
Locate the campaign you want to make a Parent.
Click the orange Edit button to the right of the campaign name.
Click the middle icon on the left hand side. If you hover over it, you’ll see it reads Inheritance.
Click the Select Child Campaigns tab.
Designating Campaigns as Parents and Children (continued)
You’ll see a list of all the campaigns by organization, as well as their status (active or inactive). In the Active Inheritance column, you can see if that campaign is currently a child of another parent campaign.
You can either scroll to find the campaign(s) you want to add as children of your parent, or you can search.
You can either click the green Enable All Filtered button, or select campaigns using the checkmarks on the left, then clicking Enable Selected.
Designating Campaigns as Parents and Children (continued)
Once selecting your children, you’ll see a popup window, asking you to confirm. It will show the name & organization of the parent campaign, as well as how many other children they currently have. You can also uncheck any boxes that you don’t want included in the inheritance.
Designating Campaigns as Parents and Children (continued)
The campaigns will then sync and finalize the parent/child relationship. Once the sync is complete, you can navigate to the Inheritance tab, and see the children assigned to the Parent. You’ll also notice in the top middle bar, your parent campaign now indicates its Parent status, and how many children it has.
You may get an alert to review items on the Children. In the example below, we’re asked to review the query parameters. To view the children, click on the orange clipboard icon to the right of the campaign name.
Items that will Sync or Adjust based on Parent and Child
After designating the children, the name of their campaign will adjust to the same name as the Parent campaign. This may need to be edited, if there is more than one campaign in the same organization, with the same name.
Please Note: Query parameters will sync between parent and child campaigns. If you're linking existing campaigns with different parameters, adjust them as needed and turn the inheritance lock green (see details below) to prevent future syncing.
The following items will align once the Parent/Child sync is complete.

Communication Queues

If you want to adjust what can sync with future changes made to the Parent, use the Lock icons.
Red indicates that Children WILL inherit from the Parent; is locked from any changes staying solely to that campaign
Green indicates the Children WILL NOT inherit from the Parent.
You can also click on the Inheritance icon (middle icon, on the right hand side) and adjust what settings that child can inherit from the Parent.
