How do I enroll employees and manage Voice Prints in Pulse?

Create and manage Voice Prints so Volie can recognize dealership employees on recorded calls in Pulse—especially calls made outside the Volie dialer.

Before you start

To set up Voice Prints, you need:

  • Voice Prints enabled for your account (if you see Voice Prints Feature Not Enabled, contact your Volie administrator)

  • Access to Pulse → Voice Prints

  • Employee records for the people you want to enroll

  • A valid 10-digit phone number for each phone enrollment

Voice Prints identify dealership employees only. Customer voices are not saved or used for Voice Prints.

Definitions

These terms appear when you set up Voice Prints:

Term

Meaning

Voice Print

A saved voice sample for an employee, used to recognize that person on future calls

Active

A Voice Print Volie can use for matching

Inactive

A Voice Print that is kept on file but ignored during matching

Steps

Follow these steps to set up Voice Prints for your team:

  1. Go to Pulse → Voice Prints.

  2. Select Enroll Voice Print.

  3. On Voice Print Enrollment, select the employee under Find Employee.

  4. Enter or confirm the employee’s Click-to-Call Phone Number (10 Digits).

  5. Select Create Voice Print.

  6. Have the employee answer the enrollment call and speak naturally (as they would on a real customer call), then hang up when finished.

  7. Return to Pulse → Voice Prints and confirm the new Voice Print appears in the list with status Active.

To improve matching after phone enrollment, register additional Voice Prints from real calls (see How to use Voice Prints on Pulse calls). Aim for at least three Voice Prints per employee when possible.

To stop Volie from using a sample without deleting it:

  1. On Pulse → Voice Prints, find the Voice Print.

  2. Select the edit control to open Disable Voice Print or Enable Voice Print.

  3. Confirm Disable or Enable.

To permanently remove a Voice Print:

  1. On Pulse → Voice Prints, find the Voice Print.

  2. Select the delete control and confirm Delete in Delete Voice Print.

What success looks like

When Voice Prints setup is complete, enrolled employees appear on Pulse → Voice Prints with Active status, and you can open Enroll Voice Print again for additional team members. If you don’t see Voice Prints in the Pulse navigation, confirm Voice Prints is enabled for your account and that you have Pulse access.

Limitations

Voice Prints have these verified limits:

  • Voice Prints must be enabled for the account before enrollment is available — contact your Volie administrator if you see Voice Prints Feature Not Enabled.

  • Voice Prints are for employee identification only — customer audio is not used.

  • Availability can vary by account — confirm with your Volie representative if the feature is not visible.

Common questions

Who can set up Voice Prints?

Users with access to Pulse → Voice Prints can enroll and manage Voice Prints after the feature is enabled for the account. If the pages are missing or show Voice Prints Feature Not Enabled, contact your Volie administrator.

Why can’t I select Create Voice Print?

You usually cannot select Create Voice Print until an employee is selected and a valid 10-digit phone number is entered on Voice Print Enrollment.

How many Voice Prints does each employee need?

At least one Active Voice Print is required to start matching. For better accuracy, create at least three Voice Prints per employee, preferably from real customer calls in addition to phone enrollment.

Do agents who use the Volie dialer need Voice Prints?

Agents who place or take calls through the Volie dialer are usually already identified. Voice Prints matter most for employees who use click-to-call, tracking lines, GoTo Connect, or other non-Volie phone workflows.

Are customer voices saved for Voice Prints?

No. Voice Prints are used only to identify dealership employees. Customer voices are not saved or used for Voice Prints.
