Configure Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings so Volie can bring Toyota connected-vehicle service alerts into Telematic Alerts and enroll VIN-matched customers into the campaigns you map.
Before you start
To set up Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings, you need:
An Admin role that can open Organization Plugins (and Campaign Mappings, if you will create mappings yourself)
Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings enabled for your account by Volie (there is no dealer self-serve on/off switch in the product)
The correct TMNA Dealer Code (Toyota dealer code) for each store you want to connect
Existing customers and vehicles in Volie with matching VINs, if you want enrollment (not only alert visibility)
Campaigns ready to receive enrolled customers
Definitions
These terms appear when you set up Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings:
Term | Meaning |
TMNA Organization Plugin | The store-level connection that links an organization to Toyota using a TMNA Dealer Code. |
Campaign Mapping | A rule that decides which campaign a matching telematic alert should enroll into (by alert type or onboard warning). |
Onboard Warnings | Specific vehicle warning names or codes that can appear on an alert (for example Tire Pressure Warning System). |
Steps
Follow these steps to set up Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings:
Confirm with your Volie Customer Success Manager or Volie Support that Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings is enabled for your account.
Go to Admin → Organization Plugins.
Create a new plugin or open the existing TMNA plugin for the organization (store) you want to connect.
Set Plugin to TMNA (for a new plugin), set Enabled to Enabled, and enter the TMNA Dealer Code. For more than one dealer code on the same store, enter them comma-separated.
Select Save.
Go to Admin → Campaign Mappings (available when your role includes this Admin link).
Select New Mapping, or open an existing mapping to edit.
Choose Mapping Type: Telematic Alert Type (use Maintenance or Warning for broad routing by alert category) or Onboard Warning Contains (use when a specific Toyota onboard warning should go to a dedicated campaign).
Choose the Organization, Campaign, and Priority (fallback order when more than one mapping could apply), then select Create Mapping or Update Mapping.
Repeat the Organization Plugin and Campaign Mapping steps for each Toyota store that should receive alerts.
What success looks like
When Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings setup is complete, each participating organization shows an enabled TMNA Organization Plugin with a TMNA Dealer Code, and Campaign Mappings list the routes you created for that organization. After Volie brings in alerts on its regular schedule, matching rows appear under Admin → Telematic Alerts. If you don’t see alerts after enablement, confirm the organization and dealer code, widen the date filters on Telematic Alerts, and ask your CSM that the feature is enabled for the account.
Limitations
Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings has these verified limits:
Volie must enable the feature for your account — there is no dealer self-serve on/off control in the product UI.
Each participating store needs an enabled TMNA Organization Plugin with a TMNA Dealer Code; without that, alerts for that store will not flow.
Without a matching Campaign Mapping, Volie will not enroll (and will not dial) even when an alert is visible in Telematic Alerts.
Enrollment is based on VIN match to an existing customer. If the VIN does not match, the alert can still be stored for review, but the customer will not enroll.
Some warning classes are reference-only or ignored for enrollment (you may see not-enrolled reasons for recall-class or notice-class warnings).
Alerts that Toyota has already marked as dealer-actioned or terminal do not enroll (and prior enrollments for that alert may be withdrawn when status changes).
Campaign Mappings may not appear for every user role — ask an admin or your CSM to create or adjust mappings if you do not see the link.
There is no separate Toyota DDOA screen — day-to-day setup and review stay in Organization Plugins, Campaign Mappings, and Telematic Alerts.
Common questions
Do I turn on Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings myself in Volie?
No. Volie must enable Toyota Service Alerts & Warnings for your account. Your team still completes store setup: an enabled TMNA Organization Plugin with a TMNA Dealer Code, plus Campaign Mappings for the alert types or onboard warnings you want to enroll.
What do I need before Toyota alerts start showing up?
Before Toyota alerts start showing up, you need the feature enabled by Volie for the account, an enabled TMNA Organization Plugin with a valid TMNA Dealer Code, Campaign Mappings for the alert types or onboard warnings you want to enroll, and customers/vehicles already in Volie with matching VINs when you expect enrollment.
Will every Toyota alert create a dial?
No. Volie only enrolls when the alert is actionable, the VIN matches a customer, warning rules allow enrollment, and a Campaign Mapping matches. Non-enrolled alerts can still appear in Telematic Alerts for visibility.
What’s the difference between Maintenance and Warning mappings?
In Telematic Alerts and Campaign Mappings, Toyota alerts commonly appear as Maintenance or Warning. Use Telematic Alert Type mappings when those categories should drive campaign choice; use Onboard Warning Contains when a specific onboard warning should drive the path.
Who can edit Campaign Mappings?
The Campaign Mappings Admin link is limited to roles that see it under Admin. If you don’t see it, ask an admin or your CSM to make the change.
