Use Suspicious Only on the Call Intelligence Dashboard to focus on calls Pulse has flagged as Suspicious Communication for coaching or investigation.

Before you start

Before you filter Suspicious Communication calls in Pulse:

  • You can open Pulse and the Call Intelligence Dashboard

  • Suspicious Communication is enabled for your account (Suspicious Only appears under Quick Filters) — see How to confirm Pulse Suspicious Communication access if it is missing

Definitions

These terms appear when you use Suspicious Communication in Pulse:

Term

Meaning

Suspicious Communication

A Pulse flag on a call whose agent or call patterns look unusual compared with similar calls and may need a closer look

Suspicious Only

A Quick Filter on the Call Intelligence Dashboard that shows only calls flagged as Suspicious Communication

Steps

Follow these steps to filter and review Suspicious Communication calls in Pulse:

  1. Go to Pulse in the left navigation to open the Call Intelligence Dashboard.

  2. Open Filters.

  3. Under Quick Filters, select Suspicious Only. You can also set a Date Range or other entity filters (organization, campaign, agent, or team) first if you want a narrower slice.

  4. Select Apply Filters. The dashboard updates so the calls list includes only calls flagged as Suspicious Communication, and an active filter chip labeled Suspicious Only appears with your other applied filters.

  5. Open a call from the list to review details available on call details (recording, Pulse insights, dispositions, and other call information).

  6. To return to the broader dashboard view, remove the Suspicious Only chip, or open Filters, clear Suspicious Only, and select Apply Filters again.

Tips

When you use Suspicious Communication in Pulse, these tips help:

  • Combine Suspicious Only with a date range or team filters so your review queue matches the slice you manage.

  • After you finish a review pass, clear Suspicious Only and compare volume or patterns against the full dashboard.

  • Other Quick Filters such as Customer Escalated Only and Missed Opportunity Only live in the same Quick Filters section and can be used separately from Suspicious Communication.

What success looks like

When you finish filtering Suspicious Communication calls in Pulse, the Call Intelligence Dashboard shows a Suspicious Only chip and a calls list limited to flagged calls. If the list is empty, widen the date range or other filters, or clear Suspicious Only to confirm calls still appear on the broader dashboard. If Suspicious Only never appears, confirm access first.

Limitations

Suspicious Communication in Pulse has these verified limits:

  • Filtering with Suspicious Only does not change what Pulse analyzes — it only changes which calls you see on the dashboard.

  • Pulse Buckets currently lists Missed Opportunity, Escalated Customer, Agent Adherence Issue, and Flagged — there is no Suspicious Communication bucket option. Use Suspicious Only under Quick Filters instead.

  • Call list chips today cover Flagged, Escalated Customer, Missed Opportunity, and Adherence Issue. There is no separate Suspicious chip on each row in the current product UI — Suspicious Only is the verified way to focus on these calls.

Common questions

Can I filter Suspicious Communication from Pulse Buckets?

No. Pulse Buckets does not include a Suspicious Communication option in the current product UI. Use Suspicious Only under Quick Filters on the Call Intelligence Dashboard instead.

Why don’t I see a Suspicious label on each call in the list?

The current Call Intelligence Dashboard list chips cover Flagged, Escalated Customer, Missed Opportunity, and Adherence Issue. Suspicious Communication calls are surfaced by applying Suspicious Only, not by a per-row Suspicious chip.

Does Suspicious Only change what Pulse analyzes?

No. Suspicious Only only changes which calls you see on the Call Intelligence Dashboard. Analysis and flagging still happen as part of normal Pulse processing.

Is this the same as Suspicious Calls elsewhere in Volie?

No. Pulse Suspicious Communication is based on unusual call patterns versus similar calls. Classic Calls list or report labels for short outbound calls are a different concept and are not controlled by this Pulse filter.
