Written by Sadie Timmons

Open an Employee record to set job title, department, alert types, contacts, and custom fields.

Before you start

Before you update an Employee in Admin:

  • The employee should already be matched (see How to assign unmatched Employees)

  • An Admin role (Manager, Owner, or Super Admin)

Steps

Follow these steps to update an Employee in Admin:

  1. Go to Admin → Employees, set Filter to Matched, then select the eye icon on the row.

  2. Select the edit icon to open Editing an employee. Update Department, Job Title, and Available for Disposition Actions? as needed, then Update.

  3. On Alert Types, turn Receives alert type, Receives email, and Receives ADF / XML on or off, or use ENABLE ALL / DISABLE ALL. Select Sync Campaign Alerts when campaign alert types should match.

  4. On Contacts, select Add a Contact, choose Contact Method (for example Mobile Phone or Email), enter Contact Value, then Create Contact.

  5. On Custom Fields, select Add Custom Field if you need extra Data Type, Key, and Value rows.

What success looks like

When you finish updating an Employee in Admin, Employee Show lists the job title, department, Total Alert Types, Total Contacts, and Total Custom Fields. If you don’t see the employee, you will see Unable to find employee — return to Admin → Employees and search Matched.

Common questions

Can I edit an Employee from the Employees list?

You cannot edit an Employee inline on Admin → Employees. Open the record with the eye icon, then use Editing an employee. The list Edit Employee action is not shown on this Admin page.

What does Available for Disposition Actions? do?

Available for Disposition Actions? on Editing an employee controls whether that Employee can be used in disposition actions. Turn it on when campaigns should be able to target this employee from a disposition.
